Did you know that Asian -born American women with breast cancer are likely to be diagnosed with large tumors due to lack of early screening? Breast and cervical cancer that are detected at a much later stage can be detrimental to health and treatment options can be less effective. This is a major issue and that is why Asian Pacific Community in Action is hosting a free workshop with the hopes of inspiring Asian Pacific Islander women to make positive changes in their lives by attending a health and wellness seminar to find out ways to conquer these health disparities.
This free workshop will be held on August 27, 2011 with registration at 9:30 am and the closing session at 2:00 pm. The location is Banner Desert Medical Center; Rosati Education Center, 1400 S. Dobson Rd, Mesa, AZ. 85202. Lunch is provided by Health Through Action and is free.
